We're also close to Forge Valley Woods National Nature Reserve (a Site of Special Scientific Interest). With its dramatic woodland, winding trails and peaceful scenery, its a must-visit when you're discovering the area.

The North York Moors offers over 1,400 miles of paths and tracks for walkers, cyclists and mountain bike enthusiasts. Its also a wonderful place to holiday with your dog  and Asquith Hall is proudly dog-friendly, ideal for escapes near ScarboroughWhitby and the wider Yorkshire coast.

Partridge & Pheasant
The Abbey Shoot on the Wykeham Estate is a traditional driven partridge and pheasant shoot. There are up to twelve partridge days early in the season (mid September - end October) for parties of 9-10 guns.
